One of the first things you would want to do after your arrival is to open a bank account. This will requires some formalities, so make sure you have enough cash, a credit card, or access to a bank account from your home country to pay for the first few days.
To open an account you need the following documents:
Proof of identity (your passport or identity card or residence permit);
Official proof of your address, such as a tenancy agreement;
Your BSN.
Most banks will charge you a fee for your accounts and cards. The costs vary between € 10 - € 60 annually.
